Our January 2021 production times measure the change in days an average order will take to produce from time it is submitted, this includes the time it takes to book a container. However, it excludes ocean shipping and other transit times. Meaning, the lower the number the quicker we expect to produce an order and have it ready to ship.
The average expected production time for all GCP products in January is 61 days. Up 6 days from December 2020.
As the Chinese New Year celebration approaches, and factory closures begin to take effect we are seeing mostly longer production times across the board. This is to be expected as most factory’s close and the end of January or early February for a few weeks in order to celebrate the annual Lunar Festival. Barring any Covid-19 related setbacks we should see production times come down and return to more normal levels in February.
