We’re pleased to share some positive news: the U.S. and China have agreed to a 90-day pause on additional tariffs as both sides work constructively toward a longer-term trade agreement.
What’s Changing:
Both countries have agreed to reduce their tariffs against one another by 115%. Meaning the U.S. 2025 tariffs on China will reduce from 145% to 30% (10% for reciprocal tariffs + 20% for the Fentanyl tariffs levied earlier this year).
Regarding GCP and the materials you purchase from us, the recent tariff reduction means we will be passing through an 8% increase. As always, we remain committed to minimizing the impact of tariff increases wherever possible.
What This Means for You:
With the reduced tariff pressure over the next 90 days, this is a good time to consider taking advantage of the relief:
If you have an order that has been produced and has been on hold, these are ready to be shipped at any time.
For those with orders partly produced, we’re ready to complete them so you can take advantage of current tariff rates and build additional stock.
For those considering new orders, our current production timelines still allow us to produce and deliver within the 90-day window, but timely action will be important to ensure availability.
If you’re looking for pricing and we haven’t been in touch with you yet, please reach out to your GCP representative so we can provide you with our most updated costs.
As always, we’re here to support you. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need help planning your next steps.
Sincerely,
The GCP Team
