With the most recent US tariffs coming into place early this morning on list three, more guidance has surfaced regarding the implementation.
“For subject goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. EST on May 10, 2019 and before June 1, 2019, and exported to the United States before May 10, 2019, report the following duty rate:
The subject imports of China that are entered into the United States on or after June 1, 2019 are subject to the 25 percent rate of additional duty.”
This comes after some discrepancies surfaced regarding how on the water shipments would be treated.
For those who have already placed orders set to arrive into the U.S. between May 10, 2019 and June 1, 2019 it is suggested that it be at the 10% duty rate as per the information currently available (p.4)
